Keep the Tooth

The most important thing is making sure your child doesn't have more serious injuries and getting help. The second priority is keeping a knocked-out permanent tooth to bring to us. Keep it moist and in a container. Keeping it in milk works. A baby tooth should also be brought in, although it isn't as important to keep it moist.

Toothaches

Your child may have either something caught in their teeth or an infection. Rinse your child's mouth with warm water and look to see if any food is caught. Use floss to get it out. Don't use aspirin on your child's aching tooth because it could burn the gums. We can treat an infection at the office by confirming with an X-ray and a prescription.

When to Go

Many may not want to go to an emergency dental appointment but we're here if your child has a mouth injury or a severe toothache. Our state-of-the-art equipment can discover the root of the problem and your child will leave with less pain.
